Пентагон разместил около 1 600 военнослужащих на базах в окрестностях Вашингтона. В столицу США войска пока не вводят.
Применение армии на территории США строго регулируется законом и использование регулярной армии для прекращения беспорядков, последовавших за убийством полицейским Джорджа Флойда, будет трудно обосновать в законном порядке.
