[Personality] Guy is a relentlessly optimistic, laid-back, happy-go-lucky kind of person. He has an amazing ability to cope; he rarely loses his temper (and never without a really good reason behind it) and he bounces back from whatever problems he faces rather quickly. He tends to put others first, worrying about their well being above his own (within reasonable limits); in addition, he dislikes talking about his own past and problems because he doesn’t want others to worry about him. Guy is kind and caring, and always willing to help those in need. He’s rather charming, and always seems to be able to say just what people need to hear, apparently without having to think too hard about it first. He’s charming and honest, sometimes to a fault, and is fiercely loyal to those he cares for.
...Unfortunately, his attractive personality doesn’t pair well at all with his gynophobia. He charms women with his kindness and his gentlemanly manner, and while he is able to associate with women and is perfectly capable of talking to them from a safe distance, once they get a little too far inside his (decently large) personal bubble, he tends to get bent out of shape. Commonly, his reactions to women involve a lot of shaking, cowering, or just outright running away. This tends to go straight out the window when the woman involved is in danger; when someone needs saving, Guy can only think of helping them, regardless of their actual sex. While he IS making an effort to move past his fear now that he knows the actual source, it’s a long, slow process.
On occasion, Guy functions as the team’s Mister Exposition. He’s certainly more willing to explain, for one thing, and for another, he’s pretty good at it-he picks up on things easily and has a good head on his shoulders. Though he occasionally has something of a one-track mind when he gets stuck on one thing in particular (particularly technology; more on that later), he snaps out of it fast enough. He also has enough common sense to go around, which he sometimes needs to share with one or two of his usual travel companions.
Guy has an obsession with fontech (technology); it’s basically 100 percent certain that he’ll get very excited upon seeing a new and exciting form of technology. Being so enamored with fontech has made him into something of an amateur engineer, and though he can’t claim to know everything, he’s pretty knowledgeable in that field and picks things up pretty fast. In other words, he can technobabble like nobody's business.
[Specialties/Abilities] Guy was trained in the "Albert style" of sword fighting, which uses both the sword and the sheath, and is very adept in that. He’s very quick on his feet, and can easily put some distance between himself and his opponent. Guy is also a MASTER of exposition. Want something explained? Make Guy do it. He doesn’t have very many "magic" abilities, beyond the one where he can heal himself for a moderate amount of health, as well two mystic artes: Razing Phoenix and Brilliant Overlord.
