Here's a picture~ [Background]
Saphir was raised in the snowy city of Keterburg. His family's friends, the Balfours, had a son about his age, and the families tried to get the two boys to be friends. Although Saphir enjoyed playing with Jade and trying to be his friend, Jade wanted absolutely nothing to do with Saphir; he felt the other boy was whiny and annoying, and saw no reason to have anything to do with him.
When they were a bit older, though, a former Oracle Knight by the name of Gelda Nebilim came to Keterburg and started a private school. Both families were fairly well off, and sent their sons to the school- and it was there that Saphir became obsessed with Jade. He decided that Jade was his best friend, despite Jade's coldness towards him, and was constantly trying to impress him. Unfortunately, even though Saphir was a genius, Jade was even more of one in almost all ways, making him impossible to impress. But Jade did recognize Saphir's prowess in creating fontech of all kinds, so he let the other boy stay.
Things continued in this way for some time- Saphir following Jade around like a lovesick puppy and Jade pushing him away at every opportunity. But then one day, word spread around the city that the prince was in Keterburg, and Jade and Saphir wanted to meet him. Jade convinced Saphir that they were both going to sneak in to meet him, and that he had a plan to do so- and then promptly pushed Saphir into the guarded area, getting him caught by the imperial guard. When Saphir was finally allowed to return to school days later, he returned only to find a new student in class- a boy by the name of Frantz, who seemed to have become Jade's close friend in a very short period of time. This made Saphir incredibly angry, and he decided that he hated Frantz- and, even when he later discovered that the boy was really the prince, Peony, Saphir still disliked him greatly. He wasn't too happy when Jade began spending most of his time around Peony instead of him, but he continued to follow Jade around and try to be his friend anyway, hoping to win "his" Jade back.
So Saphir was understandably happy when Jade wanted to stay late after class one day and allowed Saphir to stay with him. The boys, along with Professor Nebilim, went to study in the library, although it wasn't long before Saphir had to leave to use the bathroom. Once Saphir was gone, Jade decided he would put his experiment into action- he began to attempt to use the seventh fonon, the only element that he couldn't control. It went out of control, though, and ended up exploding, lighting the room on fire and horribly injuring the Professor. Saphir heard the explosion from the spell and ran out of the bathroom to see what happened...
[Personality]
Saphir is a genius, although he doesn't always come across as one. He's incredibly immature, often acting more like a five year old than a twelve year old. He throws tantrums over the stupidest things, and often bursts into tears over practically nothing. He does this so often that Peony and Jade tease him for it, regularly mocking his eternally runny nose. When he's not feeling insulted or mocked, though, he's normally incredibly happy, practically bouncing with joy. He normally gets along with people pretty easily (although he's very quick to let them know that he's smarter than they are), and is generally a well-liked child. He's very naive, though, and doesn't know lots of things a boy of his age should. He also becomes attached to people very quickly, and is very obsessive about it.
[Specialties/Abilities] Saphir is a prodigy when it comes to fontech. Even at age twelve he's capable of building incredibly advanced machines- at one point he even designed a password-protected security system to protect a secret tunnel they built, and he's also capable of building robots and the like. He's also just an all-around genius; he had the second highest score ever on some of the IQ tests he and Jade took, only coming in behind Jade- and even his own score was incredibly high. He does have some ability to use fonic artes (i.e., magic), but as he isn't as skilled as Jade he doesn't typically use them at all.
[Affection] What type of affections are allowed/disallowed and would your character do this to others?
I would think that sex is about the only thing disallowed, although he might not reciprocate anything else- he's a bit dense, and unlikely to actually love anyone or anything other than Jade, the Professor, and fontech.
[Fighting] Can other characters fight/injure/kill your character? You can also mention how well your character is at fighting and if he/she would invoke fights.
Injuring is definitely allowed, although anything serious I'd like discussed first. Fighting is... well, I suppose if someone starts a fight with him that's alright, but don't expect it to go on for long- Saphir's just not really a fighter, and probably won't be able to keep up in a fight. I'd rather he not be killed, but I'm willing to discuss it, at least.
