jenny: skdjfhkjsdfh i know. it's straight from a movie involving leg warmers and side ponytails, and like, dashing through the streets downtown laden down with shopping bags in a race against time but, like, for a noble cause.
coco: she just found out her boyfriend didn't cheat on her after all.
jenny: yes!
coco: but will she make it to the train station before he leaves town forever?
jenny: this is the music of hope.
coco's job is harder than anyone else's in the world.
this song came on while i was on the way to the grocery store today, and i just couldn't make myself stop driving. "when they get to the wo wo wo wo part, i get so sad," i explained to coco, "because i know it will be over soon. but then i hit repeat and it's all okay again for the next four minutes." i ended up driving an hour and a half out of my way, way out into the country, just thinking about how happy i am with my life and that i am the one living it. on my way back into town, i found myself going 85 in a 65 zone, with a state trooper right behind me. i meekly pulled into the right hand lane and waited for his lights to come on, but instead he just rushed past me in a hurry to pull over a semi four cars ahead. today has been a magic, can't miss day.
