Dear retard,
I don't really give a flying fuck most of the time, but the Queensland floods were not something that just filled a few streets. No, that's just flash flooding and it happens pretty damn frequently (and this is Australia, we man the fuck up and move on). The cyclone Yasi was not some tiny little whirlwind that messed up a few little villages, Cairns is anything but that. It's a city, not some quaint little town. The one that hit Perth was smaller, but no less destructive. (Just so people get it, Perth to Queensland is like New York to Los Angeles). The year before that, we had bush fires in Victoria. And Eucalyptus trees? They're like oily powder kegs in summer. These things are common, so when we start asking for aid, its not because its some little thing that we're over dramatizing. You think I am joking when I say that this country is constantly finding knew and creative ways of killing people.
The Queensland floods covered an area that size of Texas on last estimation (and supposedly that place is big, I wouldn't know so I can't say). Now kindly stop acting like it was nothing. No, the death toll was not that high compared to other natural disasters of the past because evacuation plans worked well, and yes we are a developed country so aid has been efficient and the loss has been covered quickly. But there was still a lot of loss regardless of good aid or not.
Now please stop running you're mouth off, you didn't see it, you weren't here.
Sincerely,
Lily.
