Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, part 1 review
So uh, Harry Potter & the DH part 1.
I watched last night at midnight premier~ If ya wanna squeal, please join.
Anyway the rest of this is to the best of my memory I WAS VERY TIRED WHEN WATCHING IT, SO UH. CAN'T PROMISE IT MAKES SENSE. On the whole however, I really enjoyed it as a movie.
Overall: I think they tried to make it a stand alone movie as much as they could, so it does more or less end with Dobby's death (which was fucking heart breaking), plus the inevitable sequel hook of Voldemort finding TEH WAND OF POWAAAR. So I found it to be a complete movie in of itself, despite that it is only part 1. I found it to be very well made, stuck to the books as much as it could, gave the breaks it needs to let the audience catch up when needed. Anyway here is the rest of my notes or you know my thoughts to my best recall as I watched.
1. I AM BILL FUCKING NIGHY. I AM MINISTER FOR MAGIC. I AM. SO AWESOME~ WHY SO MUCH AWESOME WASTED LIKE THAAAAAAT? >: He's not how I imagined him, but... BILL NIGHY! I love it. <3
2. Liking that you actually get to see Hermione wiping her parents minds,Ron contemplating and Harry watching the Dersley's leaving, also that sad look on Petunia's face. Clearing that all away, really touchy also: character development yey!
3. Hrm, random tack in what happened with Bill I see. He looks a lot like Fred and George, how they used to look. Also PFFFFT THE SCENES WITH THE TRILLION HARRY'S IS HILAAAAAAAAAARIOUS. TROLLOLOLOL.
4. Mad-eye + Hedwig + deaths = B'AWWWWWWWWW GAWD WHHHHHY, ILY MADEYEEEEE <3 Also ear. But that moments was completely the twins, so much. "Of the all ear jokes in the world, you pick 'I feel Holey'?" <3
5. The wedding is adorable, Ginny looks rather pretty. What with walking in with her dress unzipped, completely bare back and NO BRA ON. WHUT SERIOUSLY?! JUST ASK HIM TO JUMP YOU NEXT TIME, KTHNX. But never fear, the Weasley twins are there to troll you, with their tooth brushes in their ears. Yeah you read that right. :F
6. For that matter, Hermione and Fleur are quiet pretty as well, I like Fleur's wedding dress :3 Also PFFFFFT LUNE LOVEGOOD'S DAD LOOKS SO MUCH LIKE THE HISTORY OF SCOTLAND DOCCO PRESENTER, I WAS KEPT WONDERING WHY THERE WEREN'T SOME CRAZED SCOTSMAN RUNNING AROUND.
7. Random battle in the coffee store. Hrm. Uhm, what else? My mind goes a little fuzzyyy. Oh wait GRINDLEWALD WAS H. O. T. Dumbledore I can see why you were gay, if he was your lover 'cause uhm. NOMNOMNOMNOM. You can use your elder wand on me anytime ... or something. Hurr.
8. The scenery on their scavenger hunt is really pretteh~ I always have and always will love England and what I suspect was bits of Scottish scenery ~
9. Holy shit all their acting is getting way better~ Also Jesus Ron, stay off the drugs but keep up that muscle work, jesus you got a body son.
10. AWKWARD DANCING SCENE IS AWKWARD, BUT SO. SO. ADORABLE. I LOVE THAT SCENE WITH ALL MY HEART. SO MUCH.
11. UHM SNAKE. SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE. MOTHERFUCKING SNAAAAAAAAKE. STOP JUMPING OUT OF EVERYWHEREEEEEE. SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE. ARRRRRRRRRRGH.
12. Finds sworrrd~ Harry I notice you seem to take off your clothes all the time a lot. Jesus. GUH RON. ILYYYY. THANK YOU FOR COMING BAAAACK.
ALSO WTF NAKED HARRY AND HERMIONE MAKING OUT. But Hermione looks very pretty with Ribbons in her hair~ BUT GOOOOOD WHAT. WHAAAAAT. KILL ET. KILL ITTT.
13. Guh, light to the heart speech <3 <3 <3 However slightly lost when it KEPT FOCUSING IN ON HARRY, NOT HERMIONE, RON WHO ARE YOU MAKING THIS SPEECH TOO? SERIOUSLY, THE SLASH SHIPPERS ARE GOING TO HAVE A FIELD DAY.
14. The animation for the story of the three brothers is really cool. Liked how they worked the pattern of Harry's actual cloak into it <3 Also I think, though I can't be sure, that the story of the Three Brothers is taken from the story of the Three Princes. Which is more just a depressing tale on doesn't matter who you are, you can't escape death. Which is more or less the same thing. Sprung up around the time of the black plague, which is where I always guessed the story of the Three Brothers came from. But uh, might just be me. Also Luna's Dad is pretty cool, just sayin'~
15. At the Malfoy mannnner~ Jason Isaac is superb as per usual. So is Bellatrix, that crazy bitch. Hermione's acting got way better, I really felt for her in that scene. B'AWWWWWWWW DOBBBBBBBBBBBBY. NO DOBBBBBBY.
16. HOLY CRAP YOU CAN LIKE SEE THE LIGHT LEAVING DOBBIES EYEEEEEES. D:
okay so that is all my thoughts on the new HP movie. Hrmph.
Also in other news: my neighbors killed each other last night. We just thought they were fighting as usual. She stabbed him, but was non-fatal. He stabbed her back and it was fatal and she died. Realizing what he had done, stabbed himself, killing himself. They have a baby. R.I.P my neighbors.
