[RL Log with Kaye]

Apr 03, 2008 18:02

Today was the day that Tear expected Kaye to come to Auldrant, and she was now at the entrance to Chokmah, sitting over to the side and keeping a watch on the gate. She tried not to look it, but in all honesty? She was pretty nervous ... and probably for the simplest possible thing ( Read more... )

Kaye really had no idea where she was supposed to meet Tear, but that was no problem. So long as she focused on both the world and the person she could arrive within the same vicinity. She liked her little buzzer.

When Kaye arrived in Chokmah it didn't take long for her to spot Tear. Poor girl, though. Her back was turned to Kaye. Kaye took advantage of this moment to sneak up to Tear and tap her lightly on the shoulder.

"Hello there," She said with a smile.

Tear ... well, wasn't quite expecting it, despite how she'd been trained as a soldier, and therefore trained to keep her guard up. She'd been a bit too focused on finding Kaye.

Of course, the irony of the situation is that Kaye found her. And startled her, no less.

Tear jumped a bit as she felt the tap on her shoulder, then looked behind her. Upon seeing the other girl, she managed a smile.

"I was worried that I might have been waiting in the wrong place ..." She commented.

Kaye laughed as Tear jumped, surprised by her presence. It was obvious that Tear had meant to find her first, but Kaye had been the lucky one and beat her to it.

"Eh. I would have figured it out eventually," Kaye replied nonchalantly.

"So, where are we off to?" She asked her. Kaye adjusted the bag hanging on her shoulder that carried various hair supplies. All a girl could need to make their hair look amazing,

Tear's smile didn't leave her. She stood, brushing herself off for a moment before gesturing in the direction of the inn.

"Over there. That's where we're all staying," She said simply, then began walking, knowing Kaye would fall into step nearby.

Of course, once the two began walking, Tear became curious. She didn't normally worry too much over her own hair, so she was wondering what, exactly, Kaye planned to do.

"Kaye ... what do you have in mind for my hair, if you don't mind me asking?"

Kaye kept stride with Tear as she led that way to the inn. She took a moment to look around at her surroundings. Different worlds always impressed her with their different architecture. Nothing like Jersey, that's for sure.

Kaye looked back to Tear at the question and grinned. She reached into her bag and pulled out a curling iron, holding it up for Tear to see.

"We'll see. Depends on how well your hair cooperates too. But from the looks of it, you're hair should be fine," Kaye explained.

Tear nodded, then looked ahead. She supposed she just had to trust Kaye, really. She apparently knew what she was doing ... when it came to hair, at least.

They approached the inn quickly, and Tear opened the door, stepping aside and allowing Kaye to step in before she did.

"The room I share with Anise and Natalia is on the second floor, Room 203. Anise and Natalia are both out doing something right now, If I recall ... but even if they do come back early, there shouldn't be any problem."

Kaye nodded in response. She knew that both girls were from the community as well, so they wouldn't need to explain Kaye's appearance if they showed up unexpectedly. Not like Kaye ever explained who she was or why she was there, but still. It wouldn't cause problems for Tear at least.

Kaye began to walk down the corridors with Tear to the room. "Pretty nice for a hotel," She said, noting the difference in the types of places she had stayed in the past. Of course... her mom could never afford nice places then.

Tear nodded in response. "It's a lot nicer than some of the inns we've stayed at before," She commented before she arrived in front of the room's door. She unlocked it, opened it, and stepped inside.

"A lot more comfortable, too," She added, as an afterthought.
