adventures in fine dining, part one

So, yesterday I started my new job at Rococo, a niceish resteraunt here in OKC. It was kind of a mixed bag...it's hard work, but it's fun hard work. The only time I wasn't having fun was when we didn't have any orders and I had nothing to do. I think that's a good sign ( Read more... )

Hey you. I haven't commented in a while, I don't think, but I've enjoyed your updates and now I'm super motivated to try Rococo. I always meant to. I like your restaurant and school stories.

Where are you doing your training? My best friend is interested in culinary school and asked me to ask you where you go when I mentioned you were currently attending.

I haven't actually had the food yet (we don't get a dinner break, apparently...it's quite something to spend all night making super nice pricey food and then stop at whataburger on the way home) but it all looked really good, and the bite of tiramisu I sneaked was fantastic ( ... )

Hmm, thanks for the info! I'll pass it along.

Things are good up here! It's starting to get warm enough to camp and stuff and I'm looking forward to trying out some of the swimming areas and getting into the mountains more often. I think a total of four Norman friends live here now so that's fun too.

I have a man crush on Gordon Ramsey. It's always fun to watch people do stupid things and then get yelled at.

it really is like none of them can cook, at all. do they purposefully get total scrubs to be on that show??

i'm still convinced Craig has never been inside a kitchen before this show.

Colin! I'm excited for you and the new job! I really hope that everything goes well. I have a friend who waits tables at Rococo...he went to school with us. His name is Brad. He looks like he could be a frat fuck, but he isn't. He likes to talk about metal and photography. If you see him around, tell him you know me. I hope all is well with you.

P.S. I've only had wine from Rococo...I might have to actually come in and eat some time.
