I went to the doctor this morning. I wasn't embarrassed to tell him why I was there, but after I told him and he gave me that "How old are you?" look, I just wanted to put my head down. He couldn't get the cotton end out with his tweezers because it was in too deep, just as I had thought because of course I did a bunch of things last night to push it in even further. He told me he was going to "irririririte" it out and something about negative pressure and I said "ok." It turns out he said "irrigate" it out. I really couldn't hear, so I just agreed with whatever he said. He took out this thing that resemble an enema and I freaked: "Doctor my problem is up here, not down there." Lol. This when I really got embarrassed because then he took something out that resembled an otoscope. After three attempts and the negative pressure he talked about, I slowly felt something move inside my ear canal. I was afraid the cotton wasn't going to come out because he had to try more than twice to get it out. This only set me back 40$. He just charged me for the consultation. Not bad and definitely not worth a trip to an emergency room.
