[[Beforehand OOC Note: For those of you who've noticed I've been a bit MIA, college has drummed up, and that means being available slowly and sporadically and perhaps even a few drops. To make it up to you folks, I give you Truth Serum-Jade, who you can feel free to make embarrassed/miserable, if you can figure out based on the omissions here that ( Read more... )

Oi, she probably doesn't trust you because you killed innocent creatures when you were a kid.

Innocent? What determines innocent? They were predators in their own right... so was I. The struggle, the way each displayed pain in different variations...

It was fun.

Death isn't all that malicious. Living creatures are like machines you cannot reboot. Cause and effect, sensory detection... if you can reboot a machine, it's only a matter of figuring out the way to reboot a creature.

I don't feel guilty for it.

That's dumb. You know you can't reboot a creature, so why do it? To you, it was fun, maybe, but is that the only reason? You can also have fun on an MMO or on a date sim.

Perhaps that's true; perhaps you cannot, and that is what it means to die. Or to live, rather.

No... nothing could possibly be as exciting. Nothing as thrilling as seeing what makes up a living creature, as getting to feel the sinews and the tissues and imagine the small particles, the connections to our own, what will become of them as they deteriorate, all occurring beneath a fingetip...

Have you ever felt a heart go cold? ...It's exhilarating. To know you were the cause. People are just as fragile, if not moreso, than monsters. It's our intellect that makes us capable of being the ones to dictate life and death.

It's only instinct to be brutal.

...So that's what happens to kids who don't have a Playstations. I'm lucky Otousan lets me play his dating sims, or I'd be killing just like you did.

Oi, if you wanna see the insides of people, play Trauma Center for the DS, ne?

I have absolutely no idea and no interest in what you are talking about whatsoever. Fon Tech is something I find trifling.

So you still like killing?

It has lost some of its appeal... I like testing new artes, of course, on live subjects... testing anything or merit on live subjects is a passion.

That's why Nep-chan doesn't trust you.

I would never harm her, she's my sister.

Demo, Nep-chan doesn't know that.

She should of course know that, it's only natural and logical that family ties...

I cannot change merely so that she'd approve of me.

You can change... It's like studying to be better in school.

I incapable of any further change. Perhaps I will learn more in the future.

However...

She accepted Saphir, and while I am hardly jealous, I can't... entirely understand it.
