um... So...
My roomates just came into my room to ask if I flushed my toilet paper down the toilet.
To which I replied, "Duh. Where else would I put it?"
Apparently they both put it in the trash.
Which I find rather odd.
Aren't you supposed to put toilet paper in the toilet? Aren't toilet/plumping systems designed to put toilet paper down them? If flushing toilet paper was so bad wouldn't you see signs in public restrooms proclaiming "Don't flush toilet paper" not just "Don't flush tampons or sanitary napkins."?
So basically... Is my family the only family where we actually flush toilet paper? Am I the wierd one in this situation? Or is it wierd to put your dirty toilet paper in a receptacle that can stink up the bathroom and spread germs like crazy? (Not to mention that I don't really want to see that.
I've never asked this but: PLEASE RESPOND cause I'm genuinely curious.
