And from the other side of the coin, I just renewed my membership in New Orleans Confederate Memorial Hall and would like to urge more support and memberships. It is a wonderful, traditional museum manned by wonderful people, and a visit is always one of the high points in visits to the Crescent City. Unfortunately, it has been plagued by the fact that the gentleman who willed the building to the group more than a century ago willed the building but not the ground it sat on, and the University of New Orleans has nearly closed it down with legal battles.
