I'm working with my dad on this business venture. He and I are going to perform at weddings. Eventually. You see, I play the harp and sing; he plays guitar, bass guitar, and percussion. I'm building a website from scratch for the both of us, but it's not going too well. Lacking in self-discipline, you see. (Which is, interestingly enough, one of my highest-valued skills.) I can get all A's in school, but I can't sit down to build a measly little old website. Tch. Bad Folly's Fortune! Bad!
Anyway, this novice here *points to self* has been trying to learn more efficient methods of web page building. I learned about the miracle that is a template, and I'm just discovering that CSS can be used to make a navigation bar - all pretty and cool, with rollover images and everything. Though I can only do a vertical one with that method - converted from a bulleted list - and I really want a horizontal one. *frowns* Oh well. Tomorrow - or rather, later today - I will work on it! No Internet for fanfiction or doujinshi or episodes or anything like that! None! I can't completely forbid myself from the Internet - how would I preview pages? I'd at least need a browser. And email is okay, too. That doesn't take long.
Okay, this is a good first step. Now, what do I do if I don't follow through? I know - no access to the computer whatsoever for the next day! (*shudders at the very idea* Harsh much?) And I can do it, too. It's when I get sucked in that my discipline is shredded. Now, how about if I succeed? I know! Chocolate! I get one chunk of almond bark snuck from beneath my sister's nose. Kukukukuku!
Let's hope that that works, shall we? Yet I wonder what I would do all day if I couldn't use a computer? Wow, I've gotten to the point where I actually have to ask that question.
