My life is so boring, All I do is sleep

But I really love to sleep, so I really love my life.

Also, I desperately need to see Napoleon Dynamite, I keep hearing such good things.

They say that good things come in small packages, well today when watching "The Cells From hell" I learned the intensely fascinating reproduction process of diatoms. In thier frustule the top layer is called a hypotheca and the bottom an epitheca, in the middle is the circular cellular center. Hows that for alliteration? Anyhow, they reproduce meiotically, which is no surprise, but when reproducing they can only produce a hypotheca, and when the cell splits in two only one inherits the parental epitheca. So it is not hard to deduce that the first cell is the same size as the parent, but the second diatom has to use another reproduced hypotheca, flipping it over to be used as an epitheca, therefore becoming slightly smaller than the parent cell. As you can imagine, while the cycle continues the first diatom is always the same size as the one it was derived from, but the second is always slightly smaller. And as they continue to get smaller and smaller they are unable to continue producing meiotically, and are forced to reproduce sexually, making up an oxispore. And with that, these tiny diatoms are the only cells that ever get to experience the joys of sex.

p.s. My celly is back in business, finally. It feels so much better not having minutes because I'm too lazy rather than not having minutes because I'm too broke. And I think I could very well eat french toast three meals a day for the rest of my life. I wonder if that's a meal plan in college?
