Magic - Fleetingly Substantial

Dec 23, 2008 14:04

A piece of normal
slid off to one side
A little sliver of a miracle
caught up in a smile
Pacing side to side
into view and out of sight
Flickering like fire
that doesn't give off any light

A piece of normal
slid off to one side
Slips & slithers into souls
taunting deep the mind
Too fleeting to be ignored
too substantial to be caught
And the war has been lost
without a battle being fought
