Movie Review: 17 Again (2009)

Mar 25, 2010 11:05

A very cute story, 17 Again follows the adventures of Mike O'Donnell (Matthew Perry) as he becomes 17 (played by Zac Efron) and, as is usual with these stories, learns what a douche he really was and changes for the better. The movie doesn't bring anything new to the age-changing storyline, but it does do it fairly well. There were many moments that caused me to laugh, and that's always nice considering how hard it is to do comedy that will actually make you laugh out loud. Thomas Lennon, who plays Mike's best friend since high school, does a wonderful and hilarious job pretending to be Mike's dad as well as trying to date Mike's principal (which brought about many of the funniest scenes of the movie).

Conclusion: Overall, very funny and well worth a watch.
