Oh this is too much altogether! You gave them strawberries! On the doorstep!! *dissolves into happy little puddle*

I can do what I want.
It's that Determination again isn't it? Archie overcoming his fears is heartbreaking and inspiring and hot and everything all at once.

Tucking his hair (when had it come loose?) behind his ear
It's those little details that really bring the characters to life and make them seem so real and visible.

“My turn in a minute.” Horatio said.
You are such a tease!

Interesting you mention Archie's senses being sharpened after a fit btw, I've read several accounts of this in other contexts but had forgotten

Yes. I did the strawberries because of poem. I had so much fun with that. (And I felt the old poet would not have minded.)

Poor Archie and his horrible past. His bravery is so fun to write. He has such a drive toward happiness and health, and then he just gets pasted again, every time. Horatio, for all his worries, has a much easier life. (No one but Simpson ever hit him for one thing.)

I am counting up the days on my fingers, their leave is almost over. I have inhabited it so strongly, I wont know what to do next!

I'm so glad you did! And yes, I am quite sure that Morgan would have positively delighted in this :D

He has such a drive toward happiness and health, and then he just gets pasted again, every time.
Archie has such incredible resilience hasn't he? No matter how much he gets ground down he always survives. esmerelda_t and I have chatted about how he also has a stubborn pragmatism about him that it gives a hard, sharp edge his vulnerability. It's what makes his character so fascinating.

Horatio, for all his worries, has a much easier life. (No one but Simpson ever hit him for one thing.)
Very true. Although of course no one could torture Horatio the way he does himself. Well, bookverse Horatio anyway....

I have inhabited it so strongly, I wont know what to do next!
You'll just have to get onboard the Indy with them!! Go on... you know you want to ;)

Have deleted my comment from your other entry as it felt lonely over there anad anyway thought I should do a more fitting one .

I know I am daft ;) but my brain will see the wonderful things about people's writing in terms of papers in the Bamber Special collections Archive

and this one would have to have a paper called something like : 'Seasons of love: edenic imagery in "first-time " H/A fiction.

baskets of apples and chestnuts, cowslips and strawberries - its brilliant because for me they are all at the height of their metaphorical powers all the more for being all in there together. 4 days that is an eternity...
marvellous
and also I love to think od you in Brooklyn writing in the heart of a kentish meadow at dawn or early morning - am indeed looking for a postcard of one such to send you - if you would not mind sending a mail address!*

anteros_lmc has mentioned here and also to me yesterday after we both had been reading this about your imagery ( ... )

My turn in a minute?
You are such a teaser girl!

“Oh, Archie, it's now. Now.” Horatio said. And it was. And that was just fine too.
How cute an orgasmic!Horatio can be I dunno he's such a genuine and naive boy and Archie is leading him through sensual and sexual paths.
Keep writing on!
