Apologies if this isn't allowed, but lockdown is doing strange things to my brain! I was hoping that someone could point me in the direction of a long lost piece of fanfic from the Hornblower fandom that I've been trying to locate since it sprang to mind at around 3.30 this morning. It's the only one of its kind I've ever read, and I wonder if any of this seems familiar? IIRC, it's rpf, Dorian Healy and Ioan Gruffudd, and it's very, very gentle. It's a piece where they're discussing, I think, the dynamic between Jack and Horatio, and involves a walk along a beach. It's a kind of parallel between Jack and Horatio and Dorian and Ioan, I think!
I know this is really vague, but, I figured, if anyone would know, it'd be someone on this community!
