I'm sorry I stopped posting for two weeks. The combination of National Novel Writing Month and Thanksgiving threw me off. Hopefully, though, I'll be able to keep on schedule for the rest of the story

The plot continues to be great fun. Horatio has met a skilled negotiator, and he is a little flummoxed, I think. I love the image of him in the chariot with his eyes shut!

I'm so glad it cheered you up. Hopefully the next few chapters will be equally entertaining. I'm about to get down to the real cracky stuff.

To be fair, Celestia's had a long time to practice her negotiation skills. Horatio would have had trouble even if he was comfortable with the whole "surrounded by talking ponies" thing.

And Horatio's never quite gotten over his fear of heights. Actually flying...it's a wonder he wasn't more traumatized.
