A Trio of Hornblower Halloween Tales
Hi all,
Since tomorrow is All Hallow's Eve, I thought it would be a good time to submit, for your spooooooky enjoyment, three stories that I wrote for the HHfic list for Halloweens past.

The first was written in 1999, and tells of an encounter Horatio and company have with a ghostly ship that appears out of nowhere. Of course Horatio is a practical sort of fellow and doesn't believe in the supernatural. At least not at the beginning of the story...
Hornblower and the Black Ship
The second was written in 2000, and for this one it helps - but isn't necessary - if you've read Red Sky at Morning and Hornblower and the Spanish Doctor, because characters from those stories appear in this one. It's very Archie-centric and is a tale of anger, fear, and a lightning strike that doesn't end in death but in something much, much worse...
Scars
This last story was written in 2001, after 'Mutiny' and 'Retribution' aired. Horatio's still in Jamaica after the trial and Archie's passing, unable to move on from his best buddy's death and accept the hand of friendship from William Bush. When offered a chance to be reunited with Archie, Horatio takes it because after all, what's the worst that can happen? Nothing can possibly go wrong...
