It doesn't seem fair that Horatio is the only one who gets to celebrate his birthday round here. So, for reasons that will remain obscure, I have unilaterally decided that Archie's birthday is the 12th of February 1775. And here to celebrate is one of my favourite pictures of the man himself :)

That is definitely his "don't try it" face. I love this picture so much. You can almost read his life in his face.

Happy birthday Archie! That is quite a lovely picture. :) (I recognise it as the same one currently above my desk!) I hope you get to drink Portsmouth dry in celebration.

Mr Bush somehow seems like he'd have a November birthday, though I have no idea why. It's a month that needs more things to celebrate, perhaps.

I approve. I am rather fond of November, it's a sadly maligned month. eglantine_br has suggested the 5th of November, what do you think?
