Letter updates?

So as you may recall from here, here, and here, I tried getting a letter-writing campaign going last year to encourage Ioan to pursue a continuation of Hornblower. Three of us sent letters, and there were others who said they were going to do so too. Well, it's been over a year now, and I, at least, have heard nada. I'm just wondering if nodbear, vespican, and the rest of you have ever gotten anything back? I'm just trying to figure out what's going on.

On an unrelated note, now that I'm done with the crunch that is National Novel Writing Month, I'm going to try to get some Hornblower fic in. There's a spectacularly cracky fic idea bouncing around my brain...
