Excellent! Now, is the comm mainly interested in relatively CURRENT news, or ought I to post a picspam of the screencaps I had my teenager grab for me from Persuasion? Because I went through that DVD with a pen and notepad marking down timestamps and I think we got some that aren't generally seen. Even with my kid's editing skills, though, some are on the fuzzy side, because they've never released a remastered version and the original DVD transfer wasn't all that high quality.

Um. Yes. I may have developed a slight fannish obsession. Spend six months writing an Edrington-like character as a hero and see if YOU don't fall a little in love with him. I am occasionally reduced to saying things like "He's doing that THING. With his FACE." and lapsing into incoherency.

Novel's in the 12-16 week turnaround limbo at Samhain right now. Which would be why you haven't seen much fanfic lately!

Feel free! Sadly I am strangely immune to Mr West's charms but I am sure lots of other folks here would greatly appreciate your screen capping efforts :) Particularly if they involve breeches.... ;)

Breeches had fallen much out of fashion by the Hundred Days and Mr. Elliot was mostly in pantaloons... although there are possibly some views of breeches in the Italian singer scene. Can't remember. I have all sorts of goodies to bring over from tumblr (where our fandom is small but noisy as anything) and I'll try to put something new and interesting up each day.

Oh, wow. That looks very interesting. I don't think I've seen Bill Murray in anything, though I'd certainly watch it for the lovely Sam West. So weird to see him with dark hair. He's a blond, dammit!

*clears throat* Apologies. Cats woke me up early this morning and I'm a little cranky.

*boggles again* Right, because you would have been a baby when Ghostbusters came out, and all his other comedies were pretty much before your time too.

But really, you haven't seen Ghostbusters?

(Yes, I know he's done some serious roles too. Like Groundhog Day. Don't care. GHOSTBUSTERS.)

I'm not yet 30. Does that say anything? I've heard of him and seen the cartoon (I know, not the same thing). I told Mom about it and, when I said Bill Murray was playing FDR, she said, "Right, so it's a comedy?"

Heh. The trailer was posted on tumblr with the heading "Bill Murray Wants An Oscar."

But... VIDEOTAPES and DVDS exist. No Ghostbusters?

(I'm 42. This may just be a generation gap thing.)
