Bush has hidden depths, and I can quite easily believe that he would have felt immensely tender and proud of all his ships, but particularly Nonsuch. Not that he would have shown it of course, but the feeling is there.

He is faraway and near at hand at hte same time - you have made him intiately close to us and yet faraway in his reverie - lovely
