Welcome and Recs
Hi folks! Hope you all had a great time over the festive season?
Huge thanks to all of you who posted fic and art over the holidays and a very warm welcome to new com members :D Those that have recently joined us might like to check out the Intro post where you can say hello and find out how the rest of us washed up here.
During the holidays I stumbled across this Russian Hornblower community (as you do), which has some material cross-posted from following_sea. It's nice to come across another lively and active Hornblower community and, although I can't understand 90% of the posts, there are some very nice pics here many of which are helpfully tagged in English.
Thanks also to all those who signed up to do recs over the next few months. We have one reccing slot still to fill in March so if you'd like to volunteer just comment below. Recs are usually posted once a week over the course of the month (but nobody's counting ;) and can cover anything and everything from fic, videos, artwork, books, history, whatever.
We're going to start the year with a something a leetle bit different. Throughout January venusinfurs90 and I are going to be reccing French and English music inspired by and associated with the Age of Sail. That's the plan anyway, we'll see how we get on...
