"the oscars of the internet"
So I dont really post much about work much on here (or about much of anything these days) but this seems like pretty cool news: My creative group is a finalist for a Webby Award. A creative I built (with the design guidance of my fabulous colleague, Bo) for Sprite's Sublymonal campaign is one of five finalists in the Rich Media: Promotional category.* The ad probably isn't the best on there** and probably isnt my best work either, but I just voted for myself and we're currently in second place! So if you can all be kind and throw a vote my way, I promise to mention you in my acceptance speech.
*I'm not sure if we're in the correct category because ours is the only banner ad in a group of microsites. anyway, maybe that plays to our advantage?
**That S.O.A.P. Varitalk campaign was absolutely dominant. This is where I humbly acknowledge that they are the most deserving candidate. If I have to lose a competition, I'm ok with it being to Samuel L. Jackson.
