It had been an interesting and difficult time for Jennifer. Jason had been essentially pushed into retirement, being cut by the Sabers and without prospects from other teams, he'd ended up in sportscasting. Then there had been problems with his ex-wife and his daughter. Through it all she had felt like the piece that didn't belong. There had been some strain on their relationship but because she knew it was no one's fault, she stayed. She was just keeping to herself, like today when she was upstairs in their bedroom, looking at prospective new job offers.
