[Guess what Bennett! You're being watched. Kevas heard all that god awful screaming and there was no way he wasn't going to check that out.
Unfortunately he didn't get there in time to see what was going on. Fortunately, he did get there in time to find a rather large wolf. Only it couldn't be a wolf. It was too big, but it was too small to be a worg.
For now Kevas just waits and watches, staying hidden in the shadows. He doesn't need his ability to turn invisible to not be seen...although it really does help.]
[Unfortunately for Kevas, this is probably the most boring wolf he'll ever see-- Bennett is mostly jumping at tiny little sounds nearby and trying to find some larger leaves to try and yank down with his teeth. He's trying to make a bed, he doesn't want to be laying about in the mud for twelve hours.
[This wolf is not acting like any predator he's ever seen. In fact, it's acting more like prey. Every little noise seems to make the animal jump. There's no blood on it either to see if it's attacked anything. Then again it's acting more like it's the one that's been attacked. Maybe the blood got washed off in the rain?
Another thing that makes him wonder is its shelter, or complete lack thereof. Even animals try getting out of the rain, and if it's injured then it has even more reason to try and seek shelter. Maybe...maybe it's a pet?
While remaining hidden in the shadows Kevas lets out a sharp, commanding whistle like a pet owner might do. Maybe it'll respond.]
[SHIT, was the guy back with the dogs? Bennett yelps and crouches low, searching for the source of the sound. Somewhat unconsciously, his lips pull back into a snarl and he backs into a tree.
Truly, a more pathetic wolf never had there been.]
And suddenly it hits him. This isn't a wolf at all. This is a worg after all. It must just be a pup! That explains the small size, and it's showing obvious intelligence. The poor thing just doesn't know any better. It probably lost its mother. Why didn't he figure this out sooner?
He can't just leave this little guy here. If he does someone is sure to find it and mistake it for a monster or something. Ever so slowly Kevas moves out of the shadows and tries to look as none threatening as possible. Worgs might be intelligent but they're still animals.]
Bennett shouldn't be surprised. After all, there was a griffin at the banquet, and a spider thing, and he's a werewolf, but there really aren't any races at home that look even minimally like Kevas. He gives a yelp and turns to run-- running smack into the tree again. He shakes it off and heads in a different direction, in an attempt at escape.]
[Kevas winces. That looks like it hurt. Oh well, at it's out of the area now. Hopefully it'll find somewhere safer to stay, maybe even find its mother.
He doesn't bother chasing after it, and heads back towards the pods where the commotion first started. Maybe he can find out what happened there if he searches the area a bit more.]
