[Bennett Marrow finds his mind only exists within a fog at this point. He's managed to wrap up the right side of his face, though he's not sure he needs to anymore-- it's not bleeding. In fact, his heightened senses all came flooding back when the humanizing effect wore off and the pain dropped off very suddenly.

He's been too scared to look at the wound, though, especially after Herz's reaction to it. He's not sure what the extent of damage actually is-- he just knows there's still an eyeball there. He can still see, it's just... severely impaired. The his face has been pretty severely scratched up where a cardinal tried to dig its claws in for purchase while trying its damnedest to peck out his eye; the upper lid is frayed, a blink no longer seals his eye completely. All he can be sure of is that it's not pretty.

But there are other things to worry him.

After he left Herz last night, he had apparently passed out on a cot somewhere and when he returned to where he'd left him, Herz was long gone. He'd sent him a message to apologize, but there had been no response.

He's been worried, certainly, but the morphine he's been taking has kept his mind pretty quiet. No worries. No cares. Little pain.

But between doses of the drug, a terrifyingly familiar pain attacks his bones. It's the same as last time-- it's like his bones are limbering up, stretching out-- his body is preparing for a transformation, and he had no notice because he'd spent the last four days or so human.

It was around this time that he discovered that the doors don't lock. All he can hope, the only thought he has within the fog of the medicine, is that maybe The Wolf will be as mentally bogged down as he is. Maybe it will sleep.

Or, maybe not.]

the wind talks back, the comedy is that it's serious, my bones are shifting in my skin, ow my all of me, i'm really tired of bleeding on things, panic and freak out, trauma it's what the cool kids do, funny thing: they didn't pay for therapy, and you my love are gone
