[Poor, poor residents of Deck 7. It had been such a nice, quiet day, too. Bennett had been enjoying it-- the pain medication he and Herz had found had pretty much knocked him out most of the afternoon

[Mikaela isn't having a very good day. Someone she truly cared about disappeared, and she's pretty sure she fractured her hand punching a mirror. Her temper is short, and she's moody and depressed.
Uninterested in staying in her room, her travels take her listlessly about the ship. She has no idea she's on deck 7, she's only going where her feet take her. She's absolutely oblivious to any danger.]
She yelps and stumbles back, but she's not much match for a WOLF, especially with no convenient buzz saw or vehicle to hotwire. She goes down under him like a sack of potatoes.]
[Sorry, Mikaela, that's not going to work; the beast weighs as much as Bennett did, a good one hundred and thirty-something pounds, it's not going to be moved so easily.

[Its head pitches to the side with Mikaela's blow-- it does nothing but make it angrier. Good job. It lashes out again, this time attempting to clamp down on her forearm before she can withdraw it for another strike.]
Except he's going for her arm now crap crap crap. She flails mentally and physically, thrashing violently just to make this as difficult as possible. She can feel his teeth graze her arm and she shouts, then draws her other hand back to aim for the eyeballs.]
[It can take a punch, that's not going to be a problem-- it squeezes its eyes shut and Bennett is thankful for the reprieve, he doesn't have to see whatever the beast is doing even for a moment-- but he can feel the jaws clamp down. Bennett prays that they miss her arm and just snap down on air.]
[This isn't fair to anyone involved, Bennett decides. The wolf yanks its head to the side in an attempt to tear the flesh-- it doesn't need much, just enough contact with her blood, and it'll be satisfied. It wants another cry out of her before it thinks about leaving her to bleed.]
[Jaws unclench as fast they snapped shut and the wolf snorts at her. Its job is done-- it runs off down the hall, leaving Mikaela to bleed on the floor. Enjoy that!]

...Uh.
There a dog around here?
[It's muttered to herself, but she creeps up to the hallway, and peeks around the corner.]

He also gets his secondary shriek - having her arm completely mutilated like that is definitely going to elicit a reaction.]
