[Poor, poor residents of Deck 7. It had been such a nice, quiet day, too. Bennett had been enjoying it-- the pain medication he and Herz had found had pretty much knocked him out most of the afternoon

[Today is one of those days where Xanxus just wanders the ship to keep his sanity in tact, and shortly after he reaches deck seven, he hears the howl. ...What the hell. Maybe he can find the source and make it shut the fuck up.]
[The wolf pads down the hall, the pain of transformation gone, but not forgotten. It's angry, it wants to lash out at someone, anyone, tear it down to its size and make it one of its own--
Why hello, Xanxus. A rather large wolf has just spotted you.]
Xanxus stays in place and stands up straight while glaring at the wolf, a dangerous twinkle in his eye. Obviously he's just trying to intimidate it, but he won't hesitate to attack if the wolf doesn't back down; after all, he can't get in trouble if he isn't the one to make the first strike, right?]
[Oh, isn't that cute, the human is trying to be intimidating. What we have here is a failure to communicate dominance-- while Bennett would easily back down if the wolf were in his control, the animal's personality has taken over.
[Still not showing any sign of fear on his face, Xanxus opens one of his hands up a bit, which is now giving off a very warm, bright, orange light. He's ready to burn the damn thing if it so much as grazes him.]
[Ooooh, look, you've got a flashlight. The Wolf doesn't care. Bennett's worried of what that might actually be-- does the guy have a lighter? He's got some sense of self preservation, even if the Wolf is suicidally focused on trying to sink its teeth into something. It lunges, jaws open-- it's not intending to bite, though, not just yet, it wants to take Xanxus down and get him on the ground.]
[Unfortunately for Xanxus, the impact of the lunge is powerful enough to knock him on the ground. Flinching for a moment due to the pain, he raises the glowing hand, which looks more like fire now, and tries to place his palm somewhere on the wolf.]
[Don't you DARE-- the wolf shifts its weight in an attempt to bite into the arm attached to that hand-- stupid? Possibly-- Xanxus could probably singe its neck pretty well if it succeeds in biting down.]
[The bite does indeed succeed, and Xanxus hisses in pain as he feels those sharp teeth digging into his skin. Having his flame out for this long is starting to drain his energy, but that's not going to stop him from squeezing that flaming hand around the wolf's neck. He wants it to hurt as much as possible.]
[The fur singes away, and the Wolf yelps, releasing the man's arm and scrambling away from the burn-- there's a large, red welt on his neck devoid of fur.
It doesn't need to be here anymore, its done what it needed to do-- especially if the man was going to pose a thread, he needed to get the hell out of there. So, off it goes, running back down the hall.
You might notice its tail between its legs as it retreats.]
