happy new year

Happy 2005 everyone! This year will be very interesting and I'm looking forward to it. I do have a resolution I'm sure many of you will be excited to hear about. Aside from just getting/maintaining good grades, staying in close contact with the people I love, and the usual stuff I always try to do each year... I'm gonna try to quit a certain habit I have acquired while at college. Since Christmas I have drasically cut down, and since Friday night I've been without. You may say, yahoo Liz, 26 hours... but hey! It's a start, it's hard as hell, I'm trying, and this time I kinda think I'm gonna do it. [insert disclaimer here - just in case]

Thursday night sucked because my basement began to flood. Too much freakin' snow melted, built up and clogged our drain in the backyard. I caught it before it got TOO bad but it kept me, my bro and my mom up all night cuz we had to bucket water out of the drain thingy to keep it from coming into the house again. But no worries, that did not put a damper on the party situation! A plumber fixed the drain, we dried the area as best we could, moved the couch over the wet spot (lol) and the party was on! We def kicked off the new year the right way! It was just my close friends (with the exception of Steph who was in Chicago, Adam who was in Cincy and Brian who was in Israel). Jenna, Lisa, Sam, Anna, George, Matt, Sara, Noah, David, Jonny, Laura and I had a blast! We watched the ball drop and watched many of the performances on abc and mtv. It was a good time, yay for digital cameras lol.

Today Jon and I saw Lemony Snickets Series of Unfortunate Events which was a pretty good movie. For being a children's movie quite a lot of people died, but they didn't show the deaths. Many of my friends left tonight, or are leaving tomorrow for school. I'm gonna miss them, we had an awesome break! Tomorrow I am also expecting a visitor! Amanda is coming to spend a few days with me. I think she'll have a good time in Cleveland... ;-)

Well Happy New Year everyone! Enjoy 2005!
