In the next couple of months, we will be moving out to the Detroit area, just 5 minutes north of the Auburn Hills area. Not a shabby place, at all!
On the job front, I've already started looking in that area. I'm registered with Michigan Works to help with the search, my Monster.com profile is updated, and I'll be registering with a couple of temp agencies in the area this week. The prospects look good! I'll be within reasonable driving distance to work in Flint, Detroit or Pontiac.
For my musical pursuits, I will still be commuting to Grand Rapids on Saturdays to practice with Hadren. If I've ever believed in a band, it would be Hadren. Aaron is concerned that I'm going to quit. That isn't the case at all. I'm still a little peeved about the financial pickle I have been in, as you might see from my previous post, but I'm going to take my own initiative in putting pressure on Aaron and Josh to start shelling out some money for promotions and other costs, too. I've made sacrifices, and it's time that others do the same, too. Cigarettes just aren't more important than gas money.
Anyway, Being closer to D-town gives me an opportunity that I'd never be able to take in Grand Rapids-- to have a moonlighting job as a music producer.
