Reading "The Spectacular Now"...
...has become such a tedious task... I dunno what it is, because I like the characters and the story is actually quite okay.
I think it's the prose. The writing style is just not doing it for me I guess... I feel it's as if Veronica Roth was trying to imitate J.D. Salinger and write her version of "The Catcher in the Rye"...
I'll finish it, mind you (I'm not the type to quit a book), but it will be out of spite more than anything else.
