Although I usually marathon one drama at a time, this is kind of a weird time for me because I am currently watching four dramas.

The King 2 Hearts (through E15)--I am watching this on a set schedule for dramawatchalong.

Urero Mikansei Shoujo (through E07)--I am enjoying this, but it is more like watching a conto than watching a drama, and I can't take that more than once per day.

Family's Honor (through E13)--This is my main drama right now, but it isn't really a good one to be watching during DFC since it has 54 episodes!

Keiji no Manazashi (through E04)--I am usually ready for even 20 episode dramas that I love to hurry up and finish, so when I watched Life Is Beautiful (SBS) a while back, I tried alternating episodes with something else. I managed to get through all 63 episodes that way, so I decided to try the same thing with Family's Honor. Currently I am alternating with this drama, which works out nicely since it is episodic anyway.

Finished Urero Mikansei Shoujo!

This a fun and different series that I am really glad I finally found. I recommend it to people who like Japanese comedy and/or Momokuro.

The third season (what I just finished was the second) is currently airing, so I won't be able to finish it before DFC ends. However, I am going to watch it as it airs even though I don't usually do that since I can't take too many episodes at once anyway.

Ooh, I just googled a bit and I might have to check this one out at some point~ It looks strange, which is always a plus, and I have both an interest in idols in general and a bit of a soft spot for Momokuro in particular. :D For as much as I watch raw variety though, I don't watch many dramas unsubbed so that might be a damper. Definitely putting it on my list of shows with potential though! :D

It is strange in terms of a drama but not really all that strange in terms of Japanese comedy. I do think this would be on the difficult end for understanding without subs because the dialogue is really fast and not the type of thing that you would have in normal conversations like in most dramas. On the other hand though, the plot is pretty simple and there is a ton of physical comedy as well, so it might be enjoyable even if you can't understand so much of it. Because of the style, it isn't something where you have to get a few episodes into it to get a feel of what it is like, so you might want to just try one episode to see if you can understand enough to make it worth it.

Finished Keiji no Manazashi.

Despite this drama being nothing innovative, I enjoyed it at first because I liked the feel. I got a little tired of it as it went along though because I don't particularly like feel-good dramas (or episodic dramas, for that matter).

Finally finished The King 2 Hearts. I hated this drama and would have dropped it if I hadn't been hosting the dramawatchalong for it.

Finished Taiyou no Wana and thought it wasn't that great. It was like a WOWOW drama wannabe--two strikes against it right there.

Finished Family's Honor at last. The first two thirds of it were amazing and really fun, and it was totally on the way to being one of my favorite kdramas ever. Then it suddenly completely changed directions, and the last third was sub-par and made worse by the fact that it paled in comparison to the earlier episodes. This is one drama that I could honestly say it would have been better if they had just ended it there around ep 28 or so when it changed, because it could have easily done so and after that it felt like they were just trying to fill up screen time. I would even recommend just watching it until the big change, because the earlier episodes really do have a lot going for them and you're not really missing anything important story-wise if you stop there.

Finished Kare and enjoyed it because it had the fun of a 90s drama without the pain of one. The ending did not sit well with me though, which is a rarity.

Finished Eyes of Dawn. I didn't like it all that well as an isolated drama, but I enjoyed it in the context of Song Ji Na/Kim Jong Hak dramas.

Finished Mofuku no Randevu-. The story wasn't anything special, but it was aesthetically pleasing.
