lately things have been pretty good.
My new job, where I have been for a month now, is awesome. I get my share of idiots throughout the day, but, all in all, I really can'y complain. Bills are getting mailed on time and in two weeks I will have medical coverage. :D

Indy weighed in at 51lbs. the other day. He will officially be six months old in about a week.

Bridesmaids dresses are being ordered, and we are starting to look at florists and cake decorators. Among the most exciting wedding news is that we booked a brass quintet for the ceremony and I get to pick up my dress soon. Things are coming together pretty well so far.

Tomorrow, or today if you want to be technical about it, I am playing in the pit for Grease. My old HS is putting it on and I can't wait. I get to play a matenee and an evening show. This was the first time I have really picked up my horn to practice and play in anay serious manner. Yes, its true. I have been awful about actually playing. I don't get many opportunities to play around here, and much to my own embarrassment, for quite a while I didn't like playing. When I graduated college the only time I enjoyed playing was for the musicals and in wind ensemble, I hated my lessons and couldn't wait for them to finished. But, now, having started playing again for the musical, I find myself enjoying and looking forward to playing again. It also helps that I let Ryan buy himself a small sound board for his birthday and he is going to be working on new music. This excites me because I will get to help him write the music and play some for it as well. The opportunity to play for something of my/our own design makes me happy. Its nice to realize that I do like playing and, while I'm not - nor will I ever be - the best, I'm still pretty good. :]

Also, I have to plan a bachelorette party for my friend carol. We have been friends since my freshman year of HS. She and her girlfriend Emily are getting married. I get to be one of the maids of honor and Ryan is actually conducting the ceremony [carol and emily are going mass. to get a marriage liscense and have a JP officially marry them]. The wedding is going to be a great time. ** But, I have to admit that planning a bachlorette party is kind of daunting. [I find it funny that I am plannign a wedding and find planning this party daunting] Either way, it will be good times.

**Carol and Emily are alos paart of our wedding party. Emily on my side and Carol on Ryan's. We broke the news to mom the other day...she took it pretty well. All she said is, "its your weedding." DAMN SKIPPY! She did look mildly uncomfortable, but did not argue. This bodes well.
