In honor of the killing spree...
Very short fic. Sad. Character death!
Jo’s heart stopped as she released the handle of the knife. A soft, weakened body fell into her arms. What had once been anger and fight was replaced with horror and disbelief. She sank to her knees still holding her accidental victim. The men who had jumped them were long gone now.
“Blair!” Jo cried, her body shaking, her mind racing. “God, no… please no please… Blair…” The tears left trails in the blood on her face. “I thought you were… there were so many of them… so dark… oh God, don’t go Princess! Stay with me!”
Blair stared up at her, unable to speak, struggling to breathe. “J-Jo…” She gasped as the pain washed over her. Her eyes became empty, her body stilled. And it was over. As quickly as it had happened, it was done.
A violent scream echoed through the alley and out onto the streets. The unmistakable sound of a heart shattering and a love lost forever…
