I am happy to announce the arrival of two new members of the clan Mascianica! One, two three-month old kittens were rescued from a bad person's basement (with about 20 other kittens!). The woman in charge of the shelter suggested to keep them in a smaller area while they are growing up, because they need the security since their baby kitten hood was unfortunate. They are a little delicate, a bit scared and very quiet, but sooooooooooooooooooo sweet and adorable! The girl is black with a white spotted face and gloves, the boy is entirely black except for a bit of a white spot on his chest (like a superhero!). They came from the North Attleboro animal shelter, and were the only two left from their litter. They were all curled up in a cozy pile, but didn't mind snuggling with me, too. They had all of their shots, were already fixed, and quite healthy. All they need are booster shots in September for rabies, etc. They slept all the way home, the girl likes to use the boy's bum as a nice head rest. She's a bum snoozer! When they came into my room, the girl went exploring a bit, while the boy scooted right under that bed! She followed him a bit later, and then decided it would be more fun to climb up my bed and make a fort under my pillows (as you can see from the photo!). He tried to follow her up there, but couldn't quite figure it out. It seems clear who is the brains of this outfit!
YAY!
Love,
Sarah, Boone & Unnamed baby girl kitten
