My AMAZING AP Experience

Now, I would not call myself a seasoned AP Class veteran, but I will share my opinion of my recent AP classes. I took AP English and Composition as well as  AP Psychology last year. Now I think this was mostly teacher dependent (and my English teacher didn't teach me ANYTHING) but:

1. I worked way less in my AP classes than I did in honors classes. I RARELY had homework.

2. When you were assigned a paper, it was basically like making up for all the homework you never had. I had to work my a$$ off when the real work was assigned (as did all my classmates)

3. Exams become real. Since AP classes have to be mostly based off of test scores, this made all tests very important. I recommend really studying for the tests in these classes; these scores are what make your grade.

4. I really learned how to study well this year. I learned how to cram the right information and to do it in the least amount of time.

5. The AP exams are made out to be scary. And they ARE scary. But not in the way you think. They are only scary because you have no idea what will pop up on the test. This year, I walked in and said "Fu** it" and got 5's on both exams. I did not study at all for my psych class and only did a few practice prompts for English. I didn't even actually write the essays for English, I just worked on how I WOULD HAVE responded to the essays.

-so really, the fear of the unknown is the only scary part...plus the fat bald prompter I swear could have been a child perv, but the exams are actually quite easy.

6.When I actually started the English essays, I just wrote like I always do. Since my teacher only had us practice on one essay the entire year, I literally just blazed ahead and wrote down the best bullsh** of which I could think. I guess it worked....quite well actually :)

7. the students. I was told only the smart kids would be in AP classes. Well that was a dead lie. Nearly half of the class was comprised of dumbshi* leeches that mooched off of the other 50% of the class that actually should have been in the class.

8, These classes were the MOST FUN classes I have ever taken. Even if the teacher didn't teach anything, that just meant we spent the time laughing at dumb memes and songs on YouTube. It was amazing. The kids were funny (especially the dumb ones referred to in #7) , the teachers were chill about ditching, and there was less work than other classes.

I LOVED my AP classes. But if you can't handle the stress of knowing that you might actually have to take the end AP exam solely on the skills you knew BEFORE taking the class, then check out what teacher you have beforehand.
