Vegas or Bust!

I've been out here on the West coast for almost a month now, and am really ready to go home. Soon, I hope.

Found out last week that I passed the interview. Det. Sophia Gorup told me that I was ranked 73rd out of however many applicants made it through. So tomorrow, I get to sit down for a breezy little 4 hour psychological battery. On the bright side though (and I'm not sure if I mentioned this last time), I don't have to pay for room, airfare, or food while I'm out here - courtesy of CVS. Because I'm already here working for them, they're continuing to pay all my expenses (except entertainment, &#%^ing Vegas entertainment costs). And, furthermore, I was right upfront about the testing this week, so the Regional Trainer lady worked out a switch for me for a couple days so I could stay here longer to finish it! i love it!

Now on to weather...
It is frickin' hot out here. (Queue interjection, "But it's a dry heat, so it's not as bad."). It actually hasn't been too bad so far, mostly around 105F, but today it hit 112F. I don't care who you are, once that little thermostat starts pushing past 110, it's officially too hot. But on the bright side, we're finally getting some cloud cover (not that it actually does anything cuz it doesn't shade the roads.)

Anyways, I've got about 2 more weeks in Nevada then I should finally be heading home for a short break before diving back into the breach.
