(no subject)
i think i might drop parasitology...?
i really think i want to. the only problem is that if i do, i'll be at 12 credits. no way. and even if i up my research hours, it'll still only be to 13. but it's past the add date, which was monday. (gee thanks, drake, you can drop a class after 3 weeks of classes, but you can only add a class til 4 days. make sense of that. you have me, sitting at 16 credits, and can't add another class, but then if i decide to drop a class, i'm down to 12. like a slacker. soooo i'm planning on going to my adviser and begging him to tell me i can still add a class: either another chem class, probably his "selected topics" class, or an education class that counts for a GenEd requirement, safety in science academic labs, ew.)
my reasons:
-i was so excited for this class, but i'm very disappointed in it
-the teacher, like i've said before, is boring. (trevor, it's Wacha, if you've had him idk, but if not i'd recommend you avoid him like he's a parasite)
-he doesn't teach us what we need to know
-in our three lab meetings we've had so far, i have seen a grand total of ZERO parasites on my microscope. ZERO. sure, a few yeast cells and a white blood cell, but i just do NOT DO MICROSCOPES. apparently. plus i was so frustrated in lab because of that, i almost started crying. pathetic and possibly mostly due to hormones, but still. haven't ever had a breakdown THIS early before.
-it would free up an afternoon for me to go volunteer at a hospital. unfortunately i can't do that just anytime because i don't have a car and the DSM bus system stops at 6 pm. plus i don't really want to ride the creepy buses after about 4.
-I HATE THE STUPID CLASS.
