The Long Weekend

Fuck I had a fantastic weekend... but i was a very silly girl to do what i did...

After finishing work on friday night I wnet to my mum's place to discover she had cooked crumbed chicken (an omen of good things to come).

After avoiding study, I had a lovely night sleep. On saturday, off to work. We took the kids bowling at Dee Why. Taking some of the most beautiful young kids out for a fun day and getting paid for it is fantastic. Did I mention that last week we went to the three sisters and went bush walking? Ah.. Life is indeed Beautiful.

After making my way home for a night of intensive studying (I have an exam on Wednesay), my housemate Nic and I decided it was a boring option so we headed off to the local rsl for a few quiet beers and to catch up witrh our friend alex who has just had a beautiful son. Before he arrived we stuck nine bucks in the pokies and ended up getting a feature..so the beers were on us for the rest of the night.

At about midnight, after many beers alex convinced us to go to Fractal Forest in Mittagong for a lovely adventure... we stupidly agreed... but boy it was fun!!

We arrived down there at five am.. (finally!).. only to find that it was raining, freezing and virtually a swmapland... so Nic and I, comletely unprepared piled out of the van and set off into the darkness, gradually getting closer to the pulsating bass.. when finally after much slipping and sliding in the mud and rain we discovered hippies and some of the best music I have ever heard in my entire life. the vibe was fantastic, and the morning was spent dancing and chatting with randoms and getting covered in mud. One particular random, "Country Boy" as i called him, was from Goulbourn and had hitchhiked there. This place was in the middle of nowhere.. but somehow he did it.. What determination!! After a day of freezing and shivering but all round smiles we decided to drive back to Sydney.. I got to lay in the back rugged up on a mattress just gazing at the beautiful scenery and sunset whilst we got towed up a hill.. which was essentially a river..

The whole thing was completely indescribable.. So Beautiful.. The sun rising through the mist and the forest.. the music.. the people.. the MUD.. I don't believe we left our creature comforts on such a night.. a heated hand drier at a service station on the way back reeived much love from me!! :)

Needless to say I am less than prepared for my exam.. but hey.. it was worth it!!

Just gonna do a bit of study then go and cheer on the Socceroos!! Aussie Aussie Aussie!! Oi Oi Oi!! (No.. None of that...)

Anyway, I'm in a rush and there's so much more I could say about this weekend..

It was such an adventure.. I love doofing!!

So thankyou Nic, Alex and Dave for the adventure!! I hope I have many more!!

Winter Magic Soon. Woot!!
