(no subject)
It's disgusting outside, rainy and grey. Got in late last night from Austin and couldn't find it in me to fall asleep before 1 a.m. I dont know why , I was plenty exhausted just not quite tired. I'm definately paying for that now... awake at 7:30 after accidently hitting snooze a couple times, late for work.
Austin was real cool, there was a lot of stuff that could definately keep you busy and definately overwhelm all the same. Im used to a city, just not one quite so spread out. In new orleans the streets are never empty, its year round lush and green, steamy or foggy... in austin the streets are always full and trees + cacti cascade the sprawling hillside skyline. it's a beautiful place, the only thing that was missing from it for me was that heartbeat and deep soul that makes a city a home. im spoiled on new orleans and its the same reason nobody else can ever seen to get away i guess.
I was happily surprised to see old friends, hear new stories, and breathe some air from a sky thats new to me.
