While we were there we went to a Con! It was actually just a few people reading tarot and palms, but they really wanted you to buy their cd or book.
He does not like your tomfoolery.
By now, it is night in Salem. We headed to Hex to see what kind of stuff they had to offer, turns out it they had offerings to offer. My favorite is the "F#CK THE HATERS" candle in the front row.
After Hex, we hit Harrison's Comics where I saw the cutest LOTR merchandise ever. Dawww.
That's right, Bunghole Liquors.
This is the only building still standing from 1692. We went in for candle light ghost stories. It was on of the best things in Salem.
This guy was amazing, informative, funny, and super friendly. He also had a great coat.
Danvers State Hospital - Danvers, MA
- The hospital was the setting for the 2001 horror film Session 9, where an asbestos clean-up crew comes to the hospital, and they find a series of nine tapes, which have recorded a patient with multiple personalities, all of them innocent, except for one.
- The Danvers State Hospital is largely believed to have served as inspiration for the infamous Arkham sanatorium from H.P. Lovecraft's "The Thing on the Doorstep".
This is what it looks like now. Condos. :(
I have lots and lots more pictures from Salem on day 1 and when I get them all uploaded I will provide a link to my photobucket for anyone who wants to see them all.
Day 2 coming soon. Thanks for looking!
