For Sarah

1. Your Middle Name: Martin

2. Age: 25

3. Single or Taken: Single

4. Favorite Movie: It's always so hard for me to answer this question. I just can't compare movies across genres. I can't honestly say I prefer Over the Hedge to Hostel. I suppose my favorite movie varies between what I'm currently in the mood for. That is, if I want to watch a good comedy, I probably won't care to see Ong Bak. Perhaps a better way to interpret this question would be "What in your opinion is the best movie?" I think Princess Mononoke would be my answer just because it's a great story with a sort of epic feel to it, yet it doesn't require a ten to twelve hour committment like any one of the The Lord of the Rings or Star Wars movies (it's kind of pointless to watch one if you're not going to watch the others any time soon).

5. Favorite Song or Album: I can't choose an all time favorite, since this is more a function of what song I haven't overdosed on and grown sick of. However, the one "song" if you can call it that I never become completely numb to is funtwo's rendition of Canon in D.

6. Favorite Band/Artist: Third Day

7. Dirty or Clean: Clean

8. Tattoos and/or Piercings: No, I have all my original skin pigmentations and orafices.

9. Do we know each other outside of LJ?: Yes

10. What's your philosophy on life?: I have a series of three life philosophies that intertwine.

a. Every thing has a cost. If you want something (a promotion, a family, wash board abs, or a Porche), you will have to make sacrifices of time, money, and/or energy.

b. You cannot have everything. All resources are finite. While I don't like to make absolute statements, no one person has enough time and energy to have everything. The best example I can think of would an overly ambitious person who wants to work a prestigious, a fulfilling career, maintain excellent health, have family with good relations with his or her spouse and children, and be well rested. Something will give. People should prioritize based on what's most important to them, and let go of the rest. For instance, a career minded individual who gives up time at the office, and a possible promotion or raise, in lue of spending more time with his kids or preventing a future heart attack.

c. Everything gets paid forward. People who have no problem ruining their own lives may be more cautious if they understood that those they love (or will love, such as their future spouse or children) will reap the results of the choices they make today.

11. Is the bottle half-full or half-empty?: In other words, am I an optimist or a pessimist? I think I lean a bit to pessimist's side. While it's not the happiest of attitudes, I think it's better to be a pessimist simply because life never turns out the way you think it will.

12. Would you keep a secret from me if you thought it was in my best interest?: Yes, but it would also depend on the specifics of this particular secret

13. What is your favorite memory of us?: The one specific memory I'll always treasure would have been shortly after Nathan returned from his mission trip. Ya'll had invited me over to his house to watch Rurouni Kenshin and Bleach. I forget the actual context of the situation, but I remember I was talking to you on the phone, Nathan said that you were his concubine, and you kicked him. All I heard was:

Sarah: Nathan!

*Whack!*

Nathan: (from the back ground) Ow!

14. What is your favorite guilty pleasure?: Tollhouse pie.

15. Tell me one odd/interesting fact about you: Pick anyone item from my
previous entry.

16. You can have three wishes (for yourself, so forget all the 'world peace etc' malarkey) - what are they?: Given the ability to have any three things miraculously bestowed upon myself, I'd choose:

a. Superhuman intelligence-then my imagination is my only limit to what I can achieve

b. Wisdom-so I'm not corrupted into an evil genious

c. Enhanced social skills-often times it seems that the better people are at thinking, the poorer they are at interacting with others. This wish would be a good safeguard at being alone at the top.

17. Can we get together and make a cake?: Sure.

18. Which country is your spiritual home?: Uh. Heaven? That sounds like the best answer.

19. What is your big weakness?: A pretty face.

20. Do you think I'm a good person?: Absolutely

21. What was your best/favorite subject at school?: Math

22. Describe your accent: Allegedly, it's a hodge podge of southern American and British.

23. If you could change anything about me, would you?: You're location. I wish we lived closer together.

24. What do you wear to sleep?: Boxer shorts

25. Trousers or skirts?: Trousers

26. Cigarettes or alcohol?: Gross! Neither.

27. If I only had one day to live, what would we do together?: Considering
that it's you're last day to live, I would want it to be your pick. I'd hate to inadvertently drag you somewhere you hate (bowling for instance) because then you'd be depressed (Gah! It's my last day alive, and I'm spending it bowling.)

28. Will you repost this so i can fill it out for you?: Aren't I doing it now.
