(no subject)
hmmm so, I haven't written here in a WHILE now (but I say that every time, don't I?)
Graduation is tomorrow. On the one hand it feels sort of surreal, but then when I'm trying to decide what dress to wear and all those little practical details, it just feels... normal. I dunno if it's that it hasn't really hit me yet that we're graduating, or maybe cuz we haven't had school for a while and haven't been with our grade besides the rehearsals, or what. I remember thinking (at the Spring Concert especially, and at other moments) that I'd be crying so hard during grad, but now it doesn't really feel that way. I dunno... let's see what happens tmrw.
In other news, I have a busy week ahead: MSM CIT orientation tomorrow, then go home and change/get ready for grad, grad and post-grad stuff (possibly grad party) afterwards, and hopefully I can find a place to sleep that's closer to downtown Manhattan than my house b/c Tues-Thurs is my NYU Orientation. I'm actually really excited- to meet new NYU 10 people (in real life. not on LJ. lol), to figure out my classes, or begin to, and just... ahh, this is the beginning of it all! I'm just really excited for college, despite my parents being annoying and all that- hopefully I can find ways to work around them.
hmmm, in the past 1 1/2 weeks, I've: begun the long and arduous process of cleaning my room, seen 2 shows, met Alan Cumming/Cyndi Lauper/Ana Gasteyer/Michael Cerveris/others post-the aforementioned shows, gone to the Apple store like 3x lol, had a picnic with Ashley in CP = ), and done some shopping- but really I think I'm *gasp* tired of shopping (or clothes shopping at least). and I never thought that day would come. Anyway all in all it's been fun, and I need to really cherish my last few days of freedom, cuz come July 5 I'm off to (practically unpaid) work, 5 days a week. Ah well I ♥ MSM so it should be good.
anyway I should pack for orientation and go to sleep soon. Despite my best efforts I foresee a very coffee-filled few days ahead...
