l33t word
Today has been...how do I say it...actually, there's only one word I could think of that seems to fit:
Today's been w00t!!!
Yeah, I know. I may have used "great", "awesome", "stupendous" or whatever other proper english synonym for "extremely good" that you could think of. But I opted for the l33t word. And I don't know why, but "w00t" just simply is...such a w00t word. *rambles on for another ten minutes*
Anyways, here are the details:
- During our Data Structuces class, I was the only guy who actually finished the programming problems (which were due next week) even before the class ended. Yeah, that's such a geeky source of pleasure. But I AM a geek, and a very happy one. :P
- Onto even more grade-conscious geekiness: See, last term, I was extremely shocked by the grade of 2.0 that I got for Introduction to Linux, as I considered myself pretty good at that subject (though I hated the pop quizzes). I smelled something fishy. But that's not the end of the horror. Because of my Linux grade, I was plunged from the top of the dean's list to somewhere near the middle. I had to do something about it, so I asked my professor if he could show me my finals (where I supposedly got a 75 out of 100), which he did...today...three weeks after I asked him for it. Well, well, turns out that he accidentally forgot his mathematical skills while he was checking my paper, and that my actual score was ten points more than what he first calculated. And now, I'm on my way to shoot up the dean's list past those people who can't even get a 1.0 in Trigonometry. Haha!
- In one of my favorite online forums, my warn level has finally dropped to 0%! See, because of breaking forum rules twice last year, I ended up with a 40% warn level (100% warn level would get a person banned from the forums). Now that I got my reputation back, maybe I might actually get some awards in the next GSA Forum Awards. *dreams about being given the "Friendliest Nerd Award"*
- My elementary crush is now in my Friendsters list. Hey! So I DO have a social life, after all! :P
Well, there are other itty-bitty things that made this day just so wonderful, but I'll just keep them for myself. :P Hope you guys had a w00t day, too!
