Hmmm, should there possibly be a separate "white allies" space? I've seen a warning posted somewhere that it would be an act of derailing for whites to join anything for "Fen of Color."

I can't speak for other FEN communities but white allies are more than welcome here as long as they (and for that matter everyone else) understand the shorthand of what this community is about.

I always take the position that white is a color too. It would be an unfortunate irony if white people were unwelcome in an anti-racism group.

Yes, because I suspect "breaking" people's friends page styles with a "spam" image of 280kb+ would cause considerable unnecessary wank. I've seen, somewhat understandable, bad reactions to that sort of thing before.
