Would You Kill Me In My Sleep

Casey bounced around beaming. Jamie and Emily followed him around, giggling every time he bumped into something. “Casey, Whatcha doin?” Jamie asked his big brother. At three years old, the two little kids were really curious about everything.

Casey smiled. “I’m looking for something to do, why?” he asked his brother.

Emily, who had ended up looking exactly like Davey, all fluffy hair and blue eyes, giggled. “Your shirt is on backwards.” she said. Casey blushed, he was so distracted he hadn’t noticed.

Casey just pulled his shirt off, and put it back on. “Well, tomorrow is my birthday.” he said, smiling. “Davey’s too.” he added.

Emily’s eyes lit up. “Is he coming home?” she asked.

Casey nodded, beaming. “Yeah, Davey’s coming home for a whole week!” he said, scooping Emily up. “He’ll be here a whole week!” he said, smiling as she lit up and clapped.

“Yay! Jamie, did you hear? Davey is coming home!” Emily said excitedly, looking down at Jamie on the floor.

Jamie smiled. “Yay!” he said, smiling. “Davey’s so cool!” he said, clapping with her.

Casey smiled. “Yeah, he is really cool.” he agreed, smiling as he thought happily about his boyfriend coming home.

“So, how does it feel to be eighteen?” Patrick asked, as soon as Casey walked down to breakfast. He was bombarded with hugs, and happy birthdays. “My little boy.” Patrick said, holding his face in his hands. “You’ll be all grown up next year.” he said, smiling softly.

Casey beamed. “Yeah, well, I’ll always be your little boy.” he said, hugging his mom.

Patrick smiled. “Yeah. You will.” he said. “Although, you are kinda far from little.” he said. Casey had reached his top height of five foot, ten inches. He was just as tall as Mikey, and even skinnier. He looked down at both of his parents, and his sisters. Tristan was two inches taller, but Sophie was shorter. The only ones taller than him were William, Ray, Bob, Gabe, Travis, Tristan, and Davey. Joe and Mikey were the same height, but everyone else was shorter. He felt tall, even if five ten wasn’t really all that tall, just tall for his family.

Casey sat down beside William. “So, Casey, what do you thin your parents got you for your birthday?” he asked conspiratorially.

Casey shrugged. “Probably something cool.” he said. He knew they had gotten him some cool colored studs to go in his tongue, cause he was tired of his green one, and some clothes. He had learned to share the adults love for skin tight jeans that most of them had at an early age, and he needed some new ones.

“Bet you’d never guess what I got you.” Casey choked on his water and his eyes shot up as he heard Davey’s voice. Davey was standing in the doorway smiling. “Happy birthday, Case.” he said, smiling.

“HEY!” Casey yelled, jumping up and running around the table to Davey, who caught him in a big hug, holding him tight. “Happy Birthday to you to.” he said, pressing his face into Davey’s neck.

“Hey there, my love.” Davey whispered in his hair, pressing a kiss to his head. Casey just pulled back and kissed him quickly and innocently, since there were little kids around.

“God, I missed you, Davey.” Casey said, hugging him against, holding to him tight. Davey just beamed, holding Casey close to his chest.

“I missed you too, Case.” he said, kissing his cheek. “I missed you a lot.” he said.

Casey grinned, and took Davey’s hand, pulling him to the table. Davey sat down in Casey’s abandoned chair and pulled Casey down in his lap, smiling happily that he had Casey in his arms again. “So, what did you get me?” Casey asked, cheerfully.

Davey shook his had. “You’ll find out same as everyone else.” he said, kissing his chin.

Casey pouted. “You suck.” he said, bumping his temple against Davey’s cheek lovingly.

Davey smirked and whispered in his ear. “I could, if you wanted.” he said, lips brushing his earlobe. Casey just glared. Davey smirked and leaned against Casey’s shoulder as he ate. “So, what did you get me?” he asked innocently.

Casey smirked. “Fuzzy orange handcuffs.” he said, so the others wouldn’t hear. He winked.

Davey rolled his eyes. “You joke, but that would be a cool gift. I mean, its been months, dude.” He said, kissing his cheek. “But really, what did you get me?” he asked.

Casey smiled. “There may or may not be some pretty kick ass shoes upstairs in our room.” he said in a whisper. “And I might not have been joking about those handcuffs.” he said, winking.

Davey hummed low in his throat. “Really now? Awesome.” he said, hugging Casey tight as he finished eating his breakfast, occasionally feeding some to Davey over his shoulder.

Everyone spent the morning hanging out, catching up with Davey, who seemed uncharacteristically nervous all morning. After lunch, Davey and Casey went up to their room and spent the afternoon laying in bed just cuddling innocently, talking about everything that had gone on while they were away from each other. Davey laughed when Casey handed him a box, because the shoes were really awesome, and there really were a set of fuzzy orange handcuffs in the box.

“Hmm, can we have some fun with these?” he asked, winking.

Casey rolled his eyes. “Maybe later tonight, baby. I’m kinda tired right now.” he said, apologetically. “I barely got any sleep cause I was too excited to see you again.” he said.

Davey just nodded, smiling. “Sure, lets take a nap, yeah?” he asked. “I’m going to give you your present later tonight and I kinda want you to be fully awake then.” he said cryptically.

Casey just smiled and nodded, snuggling into Davey’s chest. “A nap sounds good.” he said, curling into Davey’s body happily.

Casey woke up alone, and saw it was nearly time for dinner. He got up and got dressed for dinner. He headed downstairs and yawned as he saw Davey and his dad coming out of the nursery. “What’s up?” he asked, walking over to peck Davey’s lips.

Davey just smiled down at him lovingly. “Hey baby. Just waking up? You really were tired, weren’t you?” he asked, taking his hand.

“Yeah, what are you grinning at daddy?” he asked, seeing Pete leaning against the door, beaming at them widely.

“Nothing, nothing. I’m gonna go see if your sisters are home yet.” he said, smiling. Janna and Jasmine had to stay half the day training with Lena, so they should’ve been home by now. Casey just looked at him suspiciously, as he was walking away.

“What’s up with him?” he asked Davey, who just shook his head and smiled at him and put his hands on his hips.

“Hey baby.” he said, pulling him forward into a kiss. Casey smiled and wrapped his arms around Davey’s neck, humming happily into the slow, loving kiss. “I don’t believe I’ve told you how beautiful you look and how much I love you.” he said, smiling as he leaned his forehead to Casey’s.

Casey beamed. “I love you too, Davey.” he said, kissing his lips lightly again. “Ready to go down to dinner?” Casey asked him.

Davey nodded, smiling secretively. “Sure thing, my love.” he said, kissing Casey’s knuckles before lacing their fingers together as they headed off.

“Happy birthday too you!” Everyone clapped as they finished singing happy birthday to Davey and Casey. They had all given them presents and everyone was about ready to eat the cake William had made.

Davey stood up and got everyone’s attention. “So, I wanted to thank you all for the wonderful gifts you gave us.” he said, then bit his lip. “I’ve been thinking about this for a while now, and I wanted to do this tonight. With everyone here.” Casey looked up at him confused, as did everyone else except Pete, who was smiling proudly. Davey bit his lip and knelt down in front of Casey, pulling something from his pocket.

Davey held up a ring, and Casey gasped, tears filling his eyes as he realized what was going on. “Oh my God.” he gasped, staring at Davey with wide eyes.

“Casey Jake, I love you more than anything on this planet and I always will. You have been all I think about for nearly four years. I want to spend forever with you.” he said, smiling up at Casey, who had tears in his eyes as he smiled back. “Will you marry me?” he asked softly.

Casey nodded, letting out a sound between a sob and a laugh. “Hell yes.” he said, laughing through his tears of happiness as Davey slid the ring onto his hand. He threw his arms around Davey and kissed him hard as a cheer went around the room. Everyone clapped and cheered for them. Davey wiped Casey’s cheeks as he pulled back to beam at him.

“I love you, Casey.” he said smiling as widely as possible in what he was sure was a dorky grin.

Casey beamed with a similar dorky grin. “I love you too, Davey. So much.” he said, pulling Davey in to kiss him again. “Oh my God.” he said, beaming happily. “We’re getting married.” he whispered, pressing his forehead to Davey’s happily.

Davey nodded. “We’re getting married.” he said, nodding. “So, I think you mom wants to attack you and jump up and down hugging you.” he said. Casey just kissed him again, then ran around the table to Patrick, who hugged him and, as Davey expected, jumped up and down with him. After a few minutes of that, William, Ryan, and Spencer all grabbed Casey, and dragged him out of the kitchen, all chattering loudly. Davey just smiled after them, shaking his head, as his parents suddenly materialized at his side and hugged him, scolding him for not telling them he was gonna propose.

“Well, I didn’t want to tell anybody, but I mean, its only polite to make sure Pete was okay with me asking Casey in the first place, I mean, he’s only eighteen.” he said, blushing a bit. “Still a minor.” he said.

Bob rolled his eyes. “Hell, I’m glad Ray didn’t ask my dad’s permission he might have killed Ray just so he couldn’t marry me.” he said, snorting.

Davey just laughed. “Well, I know despite past attempts on my life, Pete thinks I’m pretty cool.” he said, looking at Pete, who smiled. “It only seemed right.” he said.

Pete snickered. “I’m just glad you told me so I wasn’t too shocked to watch Patrick start crying like a girl over his little boy getting married.” he said, smiling. “I’m really glad you guys are getting married.” he said, smiling. “I like seeing my kid happy.” he said.

Davey nodded. “I figured I may as well not make him wait any longer to get married, I mean, we’ve been dating four years almost.” He said.

Ray smiled. “Me and Bob had been dating one year.” he said, smiling.

Pete smiled. “I’d only known Patrick two years when we got married.” he said. “You guys have been best friends his whole life, and dating for almost four years, I’d definitely say its time.” he said.

Davey just smiled and bit his lip. “Everything aside, I love him more than life and I want to marry him.” he said, chuckling happily. “So we’re gonna get married.” he said, beaming. “Married.” he whispered to himself, happier than he had been in a long time.
