my brain picked this tidbit up the other night.
Denali is officially OLDER than Ally ever was. She's 3.5 months shy of her 12th birthday. Ally died 4.5 months shy of his 12th birthday.
After losing Brody to colic when he was 11 yrs old too, I've felt that 'age 11' was a bit of a curse. I'm still twitchy, but it's just WEIRD that the 'little sister' (not just younger, but 5 years younger little) of Ally is now officially further into her life than he ever got.
I'm both relieved and a bit tripped out by this.
(and for this entry, pulling out the old userpic I had for the first 5-6 years of this journal, the day Ally age 6 met his 1 year old yearling sister Denali - I had them at two different barns and rode him over to meet her, Dot and baby Drakkara.)
